Smile

Pictures can do so much.  They document history, preserve memories, and give us the chance to share with others what they might have missed.  They stir up emotions of sadness, empathy, love, longing, or even hate.

But some pictures are just downright funny, and make me smile.  No matter how many times I look at them.

It might be an expression on a face, or a funny memory.

Sometimes it involves dress-up or costumes, sometimes a goofy grin.

Sometimes it's something funny being done in the picture, sometimes the picture just missed a moment.

Sometimes nobody else would understand why you find it funny, or even know the story.

Sometimes other people might wonder why you find it funny, since it appears to capture another persons sadness, or discomfort.

But some things just make me smile.  No matter what.
