Countdown to Christmas: Day 3 - Baking

I don't bake.  I never really have.  Well, that's a lie.  I bake a couple of times a year, and each time I'm disappointed in the results and vow not to do it again. 

However, there are times when baking is required.  Like our annual Mom's Group Christmas Cookie sale.  But this year I wised up and decided to go with "bars" instead of "cookies".  It has to be easier to make a couple of pans of toffee bars than 6 dozen individual cookies, right?

Easier?  Yes.  But no less of a disaster was made in my kitchen.



Can't wait until I have to bake the obligatory Christmas cut-outs with the kids ...
